Skills at the level of principle investigator and recent direct implementation

  • Program management – Meeting Agenda, Minutes
  • Power calculations
  • PY projection
  • Other epi methods (comparative safety analysis, meta-analysis, IPTW)
  • Literature reviews
  • Algorithm development for use in database analysis
  • Biostat Software, database expertise
  • Protocol/grant writing submission
  • Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of regulatory environment timelines and the accuracy and documentation level required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
  • Publication submission

Tasks:

Manage an epidemiologic program

  • Independently responsible for meeting study objective and strategy of a highly visible multinational observational research project in the area of bone health
  •  Project management – Independently accountable for meeting agendas, minutes, processes, responding to method questions & providing information to investigators & internal stakeholders, contact lists, decision logs, summary reports and slides
  • Epidemiology and biostat skills to oversee and adapt 12 manuals of operations to changing study methods
  • Strong scientific contributor designing (protocol development), executing, and interpreting new supplemental methods studies

Literature reviews and database analyses to provide quick responses to requests for background rates
Other tasks and projects as needed
Routinely has the flexibility of working their 8 hours between 7 AM and 5 PM (Pacific time).

Basic Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Epidemiology or other subject with high epidemiologic content
• Experience in epidemiologic research

Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate in Epidemiology or other subject with high epidemiologic content
• 3 years experience with masters degree
• Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of epidemiology studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting
• Experience in research to support drug development
• Experience in epidemiological project planning and management
• Experience communicating epidemiological information (written and oral)
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
