Remote Epidemiologist Consultant

Leading Pharmaceutical client hiring a remote contract Epidemiologist consultant for a one year renewable opportunity.

Will support ongoing and new research activities for oncology programs. This support can include: Protocol development and writing, literature reviews, manuscript development, project management and coordination, data analysis RWD assets using tools developed by our Data Analytics Center. (Note – these analyses activities do not require programmer skills in SAS or other “high-level” languages – but do require basic computing and analysis skills). Thus we are looking for staff with strong technical, communication, and writing skills.
Basic Qualifications:
• 6 years experience in epidemiologic research
• Record of publication in top tier epidemiology or clinical journals
Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate in Epidemiology or subject with high epidemiologic content or Medical degree with Master’s degree in Epidemiology or subject with high epidemiologic content
• Experience in the Design, execution, and analysis of epidemiology studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health settings
• 3 years experience with Medical degree
• 5 years experience with Doctoral degree
• Experience in research to support drug development
• Experience in epidemiological project planning and management
• Experience communicating epidemiological information (written and oral)
Key Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the development of research strategies within project team(s) and contributes to research strategies within Epidemiology
• Responsible for conducting high-quality epidemiologic research to support project team(s) strategies
• Contributes to the development of product strategies and epidemiology TA strategies
• Contributes to the development of staff within the epidemiology department
• Develops and maintains relationships with key leaders in epidemiology
• Contributes to the setting of project-specific and personal goals
• Provides input into epidemiology department meetings
• Stays abreast of the latest developments in the field of epidemiology and drug development and contributes to the field
• Promotes epidemiologic awareness
• Promotes understanding and use of state of the art epidemiologic methods
• Communicates significant scientific information to a variety of audiences
