Senior RWD Programmer
Remote, 12-month contract

We’re looking for a Senior RWD Programmer to support a growing HEOR & RWE analytics function. This role is hands-on: you’ll be writing R and SQL against large real-world claims and EHR datasets to answer specific analytic and study questions, working closely with the team’s analytics leadership to translate research questions into clean, reproducible code.

Responsibilities:
Write R and SQL programs to extract, clean, and analyze data from claims, EHR, and other real-world data sources
Translate study specifications and ad hoc analytic requests into programming plans, flagging ambiguities before they become rework
Build and maintain reproducible, well-documented code and outputs that others on the team can pick up and understand
Manage multiple concurrent requests and shifting priorities without dropping quality
Communicate progress, blockers, and results clearly to non-programming stakeholders
Can work independently and efficiently to meet aggressive timelines where needed
Adapt to rapidly changing priorities

Qualificaitons:
Master’s degree (or higher) in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, public health, or a related quantitative field, plus 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with healthcare data
Strong, demonstrable R and SQL skills as the primary toolset; SAS proficiency is a plus but not required
Direct experience programming against administrative claims data (e.g., MarketScan, Optum, Medicare LDS SAF, Komodo) and/or EHR data
Working knowledge of common analytic methods used in RWE (e.g., survival analysis, GLMs)
Claude Code-assisted programming experience preferred
